An External Brand buys goods or services from a Stretch Brand but cannot afford the full rate in regular currency. The Stretch Brand agrees to accept partial payment in Stretch Currency.

Let's say the hourly rate for services provided by the Stretch Brand is £160 (determined by market rates and as agreed by both parties). The External Brand can afford to pay £115 per hour. The difference is 'paid' in Stretch Pounds ie. S£45.

Stretch Currency represents the intangible value added to Stretch Culture by the Stretch Brand. The Stretch Brand can then trade on this currency with other Stretch Brands. It can make up a full or partial payment for goods or services provided by another Stretch Brand.

It may be possible to trade with other External Brands with this currency but this will be dependent on the degree to which they subscribe to the Stretch Framework and the level of Stretch Culture they engage.

Stretch Culture retains this added value by a system of cross checking and referencing. This is a natural consequence of the Inspiration Based Interaction Stretch Culture represents.
